Avaya (Brand + Engage)

The client? Avaya is a global leader in communication solutions, such as SaaS options like Avaya Cloud Office, Avaya Experience Platform, and Avaya Spaces.

Project One? Refresh Avaya’s brand development by creating a modern, flexible, and global identity system. The new brand needed to unify Avaya’s diverse portfolio under one strong voice. With creative direction from Phil Hunter, I supported the creation of the brand book and new assets, including the OneCloud homepage and the event identity for Avaya Engage 2021.

The goal? Deliver a refreshed brand system that positions Avaya as a people-focused technology leader. Build an event identity that inspires, energizes, and drives attendance.

The impact? The result was a clean, detailed brand guide and an event identity that drew more than 1,200 in-person attendees and over 3,500 virtual participants. The branding extended globally, also shaping banner ad campaigns, eBooks, landing pages, and the LATAM Engage event later that year. Together, the work reinforced Avaya’s brand evolution and company positioning. Plus… the client loved it! :)

Note: I specifically call out Phil Hunter for his creative direction, but this project wouldn’t have been possible without everyone on the team. We had an excellent in-house team to provide insights and feedback, designers that sat with me in the trenches of removing image backgrounds and double-checking line heights, copywriters to organize a jumble of thoughts into clear messaging, and a collection of project mangers to keep the whole thing moving. Thank you all!
